Kalinchowk Small Hydropower Project Overview

Kalinchowk Small Hydropower Project is a 3 MW run-of-river hydropower project developed by Himalayan Energy Limited in Kalinchowk Rural Municipality, Dolakha. The project harnesses the Budhekhani, Shikhaarjun and Bhumit streams and is designed to generate approximately 16.96 GWh of clean electricity annually. With a gross head of 322.2 metres, European-manufactured Pelton turbines and a 33 kV transmission connection to Singati Substation, the project is positioned to deliver reliable renewable energy to Nepal’s national grid.
